The Spot is in Umtentweni, also known as Tweni to the locals or Mthentheni on the latest maps of South Africa. The Spot was once the public change rooms for the beach and a tea garden where groms (young surfers) came to buy some sustenance. For most of the year, Tweni beach is quiet but gets busier during school holidays.
