Lake Eland is a 5000 acre game reserve overlooking the Oribi Gorge. Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, eland, bushbuck and reedbuck are just some of the animals that can be viewed here. Lake Eland also offer hiking trails, horse riding and mountain bike rentals, giving you other alternatives for viewing game other than from a car.
Highlights at Lake Eland include the Eagle’s Nest viewpoint and suspension bridge overlooking the gorge. A visit to the reserve is also a good family outing, with a picnic area, children’s playground and swimming pool.
